Title: {Picture-istic moments}
Today is the
CIP trip. Our group went to Oh Chin
Huat Farm. I believe my ex-classmates should know where it is, just located along
Sembawang Road near Bottle Tree Park. The other team went to
Sungei Buloh Nature
Reserve, but it rained a short while after. Since a picture can tell a thousand words, here are some pictures of what happen to me in my group today...
The 1st Picture I took, the bus was heading towards Esplanade, about 3 minutes after we left school...
.jpg)
Time flies and we're at Esplanade!!! (I do not know why I took this picture...)
.jpg)
::Along the underpass which leads from Esplanade to the City Hall Interchange ::
I can't depict this. It's just pieces of paper stick on the wall.
.jpg)
Three word explain all: Doodles and Papers
.jpg)
Ahh, this is the one I like most. A lighthouse, with lights!!! (Actually it's just a lamp that is shining on it.)
Okay, this one is plain and simple. It really kinda feels like we can walk into it. (So maybe the picture did not show that, but if you see it when you're there, you will feel it.)
.jpg)
The end of the underpass.
[Go behind to go to Esplanade -- Theatres on the Bay]
[Turn left to go to MRT/Citylink Mall]
[Walk straight to go to toilet]
.jpg)
:: Along CTE... ::
We took the bus and head to Oh Chin Huat Farm, which we thought is in Ghim Moh, which the paper stated there. But what the heck is the bus going northwards?!
.jpg)
:: Oh Chin Huat Farm (Oh's Farm) ::
In Yishun. Kinda like the cute name for the farm, anyway the road which you see there is erm... Bah Soon Pah Road?? They also fenced this whole area up.
.jpg)
Oh's Farm specialises in hydroponics. Here is one of the place where they grow the plant.
.jpg)
Here's another one:
This one really feels like I'm inside, right?
No. It just my phone touching the outside of the plantation. With no bugs entering it, these plants sure grow healthily.
.jpg)
Here's another one, not used for now.
.jpg)
This one is for gallery purposes. The one you're seeing right now is... ... ... I forgot about it (hehe...) If you go deeper inside, they grow lavender plants. You just touch it's leaves and the fragrance comes out. (So nice...)
.jpg)
:: On the bus, back to Esplanade ::
This is one of the things I bought. A small cactus ($1.50), and the poisonous inedible plant, dumbcane, which they claim it's able to absorb radiation... ($1.20)
.jpg)
You know, right, it's raining. If you're eyes are sharp enough, you can see water droplets. I wonder what is the other group in Sungei Buloh Nature Reserve doing?
.jpg)
:: Near Padang, the starting place for the walk ::
Here is a test for you. Some people are holding the helium balloons and some of it flew into the sky. Can you find one? (Actually there is two. One is in red, the other is in blue.)
.jpg)
Oh my gosh! A person carring a loadful of helium balloons!!! How greedy!!! (How come the person did not fly up?)
.jpg)
The people who blows up the balloon with the tank full of helium. (Not explode, it's fill up)
.jpg)
I took another one. A few seconds later. Previously there is three balloons, now you see four.
.jpg)
Well, there is a balloon flying up. You can't see it in the picture.
.jpg)
"Hey mummy, there are oranges in the tree!!!" (Lame joke)
.jpg)
One part of the race. This is not a walk, it's orange sqeeze!!! (Another lame joke, but it's true about the squeezing part. There IS a lot of people.)
.jpg)
The Prime minister is there, but I just missed my chance ALL BECAUSE OF THESE STUPID UMBRELLAS BLOCKING MY VIEW! This picture shows the Padang, and a car and a person holding a bunch of balloons and...
.jpg)
Close-up view of the balloons. Nice. Still, you can see a lot of umbrellas...
Public transport vehicles are all blocked because of this walk. You can hear a lot of honkings. Poor drivers, have to wait for an hour or so...
.jpg)
By right, this is SAM. (Singapore Arts Museum) The banner states there : 'Viet-Nam!'
.jpg)
This pictures shows the Singapore River.
.jpg)
This pictures shows my friends waklking along the river.
.jpg)
This picture shows a lot of people walking. (That's my friend over there, the one who has the biggest face on this picture, F(privacy, please.)z
.jpg)
The part of the walk where walkers have to make a big loop. We came out of a tunnel on the right side of the pic, then walk along the bank, across the bridge, which is where I'm standing, then walk along the other side of the bank, then cross the bridge (in front of me) then into the tunnel once again.
.jpg)
Shoot, my finger over there.
.jpg)
Again, my finger...
The clowns on sticks (find yellow, and you'll find him). I really feel like kicking them the first time I see them.
.jpg)
:: The end of the walk, the dreadful scene ::
The authenic Orange Squeeze!!! People open their umbrella to shield off the rain, but this is too much! They crowd just to get the goodie bag (or is it the people who are giving out are too slow?).
.jpg)
:: Ten minutes later... ::
Drenched by the rain, sweated by the atmosphere.
::Another ten minutes later... ::
Still waiting...
:: Ten minutes later... ::
There, out of the crowd and into the freedom!!!
.jpg)
Okay, maybe the crowd is shifting over here?! Shoot.
.jpg)
That's the end of the day. So tired, so drenched, so wet, so angry.
.jpg)
:: THE END ::
There's still some parts which I remembered I missed out (the elderly at the farm), but who cares, this blog is too long and I am too lazy to write about it.
