Title: {Biotech Fair '09}
Second Day
Okay the second day, we skipped school, yeah!
No la, we missed out some lessons, and a test. Yeah that was lucky.

So we reach there by cab at around 13 15. By the way, there was only the three of us there today. (me and you and you.)And we had our free admission once again. Hurrah!

Okay, so we're back to that same dome again, turns out that the other group's poster is unwilling to adhere to the board. Well, we tried to put it up again, but to realise that the tape was not... adhere-sive enough (Because we did not brought along the tape and other tools and so, we had to 'reuse' the tape.) But anyway, we still need to wait for the guest to arrive. By the way, it's open to the public on the second day, but I think you still have to pay the admission fees to the science center.

In the meanwhile, there's show going outside of the Hall C. Cool, talking about shocking experiments. I can't believe they burst a hydrogen-filled balloon with electricity. I love the Tesla Coil! WOOT!!!
Oh yeah, by the way, we strayed off to other exhibits (Err, actually, it's the different stuff in the Science center. Like you know, those err... never mind.) And by the time we came back, there were lots of people there. (LOTS. Yeah lotz.) I quickly went back to our booth la, turned out they already printed out the certificates already. Fast.

Yeah, then there was the , err, reception. It was outside, way outside. And the food was just plain Mee Goreng. (had to use chilli to appetize.) But still it was quite filling.

After the reception, we packed our stuff and we went back home.

Wait before that , we went to visit the stuff in the Science Center. Had to go home because they close at 18 00. Sigh...

Title: {Biotech Fair '09}
Okay, before I start with anything, I would like to say a big thanks to you, you and you. Okay, on to the story.
Wait, before that... Blogger is fine in GC (Google Chrome). Cool. Moving on.

Okay, after 2 days of showcasing our project, the Biotech Fair is finally over! Yes! Well, in my opinion this is way better than last year's one.

To tell the truth, our team got COP. Don't worry, there are about 20+ teams that got that too. AND there's only 1 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze ONLY. So, yeah, never mind, it's 'good' enough. The first belongs to err... ( Methodist Girls' School? And the second was... (I can CONFIRM that it's them, since that team was just one exhibit away, i mean, one booth. If you know what I'm talking about.) Hwa Chong Institution. Don't ask me who's the the third, since I had forgot that.

Okay, did I mention that this year was better than last year? Oh yeah, so, let's see...
1) It was held in SSC (Singapore Science Center [Coincidently, it's Sembawang Shopping Center]) -- Unique Location, Yeah!
2) There was less team -- Less team, higher probabilty of getting top 3 (which proved to be quite impossible.)
3) It was held IN SSC (Yes, the word 'IN' says that we are able to walk around the SSC, Yeah!)

First Day
So the first day was when we brought all the laptop (for the presentation slides), specimens, blazers (why did they call that? Maybe when we wear blazers, we get hot.), and the poster (which cost a bomb, and we hadn't claim the money yet.). Yeah, we kinda got lost when we enter the Science Center, but after a while, I got it. The place where we are presenting (Hall C) was just like a dome. So, unlike last year's one, which was more of a like... Lecture Hall. (Come to think of it, it IS a lecture hall.) They tried to save space by putting two booths together instead of separate one, and in the middle of the dome, there's this wide space to roam about. more of a like... (Argh, cannot attach picture. Blogger still has some prob, after all.)

So we were almost the first school to be judged. Dang. But, like any other team, we cannot escape the fact that we had to present them with our projects. And after a while, the judge really came. Last year there was 3 judges (I think), but now there's only 2. And it seemed good. These two judges listen to our presentation, which took about more than 7 minutes, and during the meanwhile Ms Chew was capturing me down using her camera(Actually while I was presenting). Cheese!

And like when you think that's over, the judges will torment you with chains of question (in the part I called: 'The Questioning'. Yeah, the male judge seemed kind enough la, asking us more of an easy-type questions like...

Why do you use the curry leaves for these experiment? And why not try other plants?
So, how do we know that you did not put any other chemical like ethanol inside your solvent in the test? And they say ethanol is anti-bacterial, right?
And there was one time we asked him a qusetion. Do you want to try our soap? (It was my friend who asked the judges. He said...) Yeah, sure. (with a smile) Ooh, nice smell huh? (looked surprise)

There's a saying called (or maybe from lyrics or maybe the lyrics came from this saying, but anyway) 'The female of the species is more deadlier than the male.'. Cool. Female Fatale.
She somehow reminded me of Mrs Chew (no offense) Yeah, her stern look gives me the creeps. The question she asked were like.

There seemed to be some contradictions with your results, I read your report, and in the report results it state that it has a zone of inhibition of 0.7 cm, but in the poster, it states there 18mm (1.8 cm) So, what happened?

And we were like O_o. And also like >;(
That's what we'll get for handing up a not-so-much-edited report. Yeah, my fault. Nice.

So they how we 'push and shove' our way through the question. We breath a sigh of relief when it's all over.

Oh gosh. I've typed so long already? Okay, maybe I'll move everything to the next post.

Title: {The Day before Biotech Fair '09}
Okay, tomorrow is the day that I me and the other group would represent the school for the annual Biotech fair. Gambateh!

By the way, it'll be from 14 00 to 1700, but we would be released earlier... Okay, since it's until around 1700, I'll maybe not be able to make it for tomorrow's CCA =( So... Yeah, good luck to the combine. Jiayous!

Okay, got to sleep now, must prepare for tomorrow. Well, seeyas!

Fin.

TagReplies =)

weishian: Can say luh. Oops. Yup, spam all you like, I don't mind.
Xavier: Well, to speak frankly, I'm using you as an example. Yup. We know, everyone is irritated by them. In my own opinion, maybe because they are spouting random/nonsensical/weird/gossips/insults at you, secondly, it could have just been that that passer-by or whoever are keeping people in suspense. Yeah, I know... everyone loves suspense.
Xavier: C'mon! That's a joke!
agNES: Yeah... That's a joke.
agNES: Well, I'm a slacker la... So... Yeah, you know.
Nicole: Thanks!

Title: {From Passers-by to something random...}
Okay, I admit, I've been surfing on the net frequently nowadays, and yeah, I went to some other people's blog and found something quite intriging

What's with the passer-by thing nowadays? (and other people who did not leave their real name after tagging at the tag board?)
These passers-by came to our blog and give some comments about it. Yes , I can appreciate that, but why say something hurting/weird to them? (The weird stuff that I'm referring to is asking whether is the blogger handsome or some weird sorta like that. (Yeah, that's a real live example))

Okay, now imagine you have a blog and suddenly you realised that some stranger that you did not even know tagged "I (heart) you!!!". Surely you'll give a (O_o''') face, right?

Lol. Come to think of it, that's what you call: Blog-stalkers.I wonder why do they want to hide their real identity? Why?

Okay, let's move out of the topic...Anybody experiencing the same problem as me? I mean, one of my senior said that she (yes it's a she) has some probs with Blogger (which aka blogspot). I'm not sure whether her probs are same as mine. Okay, my problem with blooger is that when I tried to creat a new post, for a brief second it seemed normal, than after it's fully loaded... (argh, everything seemed messed up...) yeah, you know what I mean. The place where you type your post suddenly shrinks by half and it's located at the bottomleft of the page. And there's this big gap in the middle of the page... Okay, I knew that I was talking to myself all along... (end of topic)

Moving on...
Okay, so there was a total eclipse on ,by right, yesterday, was it? Yeah, sad to say that it was a rainy that morning. The clouds just blocked that natrual phenomenon. Sigh...

Another topic?
Nah, maybe no... I don't want to use up all my brain juice, later I'll run out of idea for the next post....

By the way, I'm typing out on a note pad before capying and pasting everything into the blog, smart eh? No. Dumb idea. I can't check for spelling errors this way.

Questions to earn popularity for my blog:
As tecnology advances, people are getting smarter nowaday. Do you agree? Explain your answer in the tagboard.

Title: {Random...}
Ok, it's only been a few days sice I blogged...

Okay, so it's the end of the first week already. Fast, huh? New semester, same teacher, same classmates. Nothing new, actually.

Now the school implemend the stupid temperature taking thingy. Darn, what's the use when all more that 50% of the H1N1 patients does not have fevers as the symptoms? Who knew, maybe somebody has H1N1 already, it's just that they don't know it... (Well, of course I don't want that to happen.)

Okay, back to the post.

Yesterday
Yeah , went to timezone la. Because I had to buy some stuff in Popular, really. But in the end it was not even used for the Life Science thing.
So, yeah it was fun there.

Crap, I don't know what to blog now....

By the way, today's ice-cream suck. I got vanilla flavor, which is the same for last year, actually. Boy, I hate it.
