Title: {Competitions}
Hi, it's been a (long) while since I updated on the blog, haha.

Actually, I have nothing to blog nowadays, probably because it's the June Holidays already. Man, time really flies a whole lot faster than we expected. It's been 6 months since the WYCF and about 14 months (1 year 2 months) since the Parcels Performance. Cool, eh?

*thinking of what to write next*

Let's see, erm, yeah. The Maths Trail organised by YJC was average la. There were 2 teams from our school, and it consist of my classmates (Yep, same class ;) ) So my group is Team 1.
The venue is at Sentosa and we had to pay the entrance fee ($3) although it is organised by them. Sigh, budget. I guess the economy is still affected.

It's a Maths Trail, so one would expect Maths questions to come out, so... I was prepared before I came, well, almost. My team consist of M, S, J, and me (Sorry for putting their initial, I just want some privacy). So we were given clues that would lead us to the next stations and eventually the final one. (Typical.) So yeah, we started at that Beach Station in Sentosa. Before that, we took the monorail there, not much progress with that resort (in my opinion) and I could see some retarded people waving their hands at me at the stations... Before the match, I met some of my ex-classmates, but I ignored them. Yeah, I think they have forgotten me already... Sigh...
The first clue is near the Dolphin Lagoon. Yeap, it was pretty far, so after some discussions, we decided to walked there. (Don't ask me why.) The first clue was a piece of cake. Plotting a timetable and giving direct answers from the table. Fin.

Then we were given the next clue to the next station. Yep. Unfortunately, it was on the other end of Sentosa. Dang. There goes our chance of getting first. We took a tram there, by the way. The second task is a bit more difficult than the first, and we struggled quite a bit. It's asking you about leap years. Dang, again. I can't believe I actually manage to explain why the last two digit of a number is important in determine whether it is divisible by 4. I've never felt so proud at that time...

The next station was the station before the Beach station, that is, that Imbiah station (dunno why is it called like that). We thought that there was a bus that can take us there quickly, found out that it was actually travelling the other way. Sad. But anyway, we alighted at a stop quite near, but also quite far, and had a fantastic view of the Merlion before heading to the nearby station. Didn't know that the Merlion was that monstrous giant. We flunked the test over there and tada. That's it. There's no hope of getting a place for the competition.

Last station was located near beach station, so we took monorail there. Once again, I saw those people waving their hands at those tourist/people in the monorail. They look retarded but anyway, the last station's questions involves trigonometry. Dang. Stupid sin, cos, and tan. Darn. Struggled a bit before we head down to the meeting point.

But wait, we stopped at beach station for refreshments (Hey, we went around the island for about 2 hours already... And nothing to drink except for plain water from our bottles...) Bought a Slurpee Brainfreeze. It's the same price throughout the whole Singapore island. But sadly, there's only one flavor, coke. We slacked and took our time to finish our drink. Big mistake.

At the meeting point, which is at that darn it Siloso Beach. (Had to travel back there again since the first station.) Woah. That place was flooded with people, and that's it. They are already prepared to announce the result, well, almost. From what I can see, they apparently let the winners sit on the seat and the non-winner (cannot say 'losers') to stand. And so we stood. End of story. Our team didn't win. The other team managed to take a seat and got themselves a pair of teddy bears. That's what they got for getting 6th. =D

Suddenly, I feel like writing more...

Another thing that happened these days was the "Chemistry -- Facts or fantasy" Competition. We went to NUS this time. Before that, my teammates and I waited for another teammate for about 20 minutes outside the school gate before we finally left. Cool, eh. Our teams were trying to hail a 6-seater cab (which, by right is pretty rare in this area), but in the end, we got ourselves 2 normal 4-seater cabs. (definitely cost more.) Then we left. I still can't believe that the taxi took us to Woodlands before taking us to NUS, which is near Dover. (Via Seletar Expresway and Bukit Timah Expressway.)

The taxi drove into the NUS campus, and boy, it's sure large. There is a bus service there. Lower Kent Ridge Road. Right. We climbed what seemed like a "hill" before reaching the destination. Science Facility, Lecture Theatre 32. Cool. The lecture hall was somewhat like a sector of a circle. And it is able to hold 66 teams of 3 and still have some seats not taken. We were given a remote-controlled answering machine for each team and I wanted to get a feel of it. But the other teammate took away. Sad.

There are a total of 3 rounds for this competition. Each questions in Round One is worth 1 marks and there is a total of 50 questions. Wow. It was a headache trying to answer bit by bit. Argh. The questions asked were like, tricky? Yeah, in the end 36 teams had to go, leaving the 30 teams behind. Our team managed to got through, but the other one... Never mind, then there comes round two. Two sections: section one question are worth two marks and section two is worth four. Unfair. This time, 15 teams we're eliminated, only leaving us and the fourteen teams. We lost at Round three though. Haha. Well we still gained some experience The forth and the fifth place goes to Tanjong Katong Girls School and Hwa Chong respectively. (Can't believe that HC lost to a neighbourhood school) The top 3 places all goes to Raffles (all their three teams). Wth.

That's it. All ends here. Fin.

Title: {Yesterday's tomorrow}
Today was much better...

Can't believe that we actually have two periods of chemistry lessons when we're supposed to have one.
It all began in the morning...   I thought that the Friday Assemblys are supposed to be held in the hall, but no. There was this NPCC parade down at the courtyard. Cool. Weishian was late, no, not him alone, it was almost half of his class that were late. Not exactly late la. But just moving down at a later time than us. Or maybe they just walked too slowly. Cool, they get to stand at their special places when we sing the anthem and the pledge.   * "envious" *

After that long speech from that teacher from I-don't-know-who-the-heck-that-guy-was, we went back to class had had our lessons. The first period of the day was Chemistry.
I'm sure you are eager to know my marks too, right? Fine. I obtained (kinda weird to say 'I got ______'. It's Singlish, right?) sixty-one marks out of the total eighty marks (purposely write numbers as worrds to irritate you readers.). Cool, huh?

Then Mrs Lee's period was over before we managed to finish going through the paper. Then the SS Relief teacher came. Yup, I hate SS and it kinda rocks because the teacher did not come. But the relief teacher want to slack, so... Mrs Lee 'took' the period. Hahas. I love Chemistry! (Except for the explanation parts in the exam. I prefer to do those kind of ionic and normal chemical equations.)

IT period was also cancelled, but sadly the teacher did not want to 'relief' it.

Random: If ammonia (NH3) is a non-metal, then is the attractive forces of ammonium chloride (NH4Cl) ionic bonding or covalent bonding.
Since ionic bond form ions, it should be a giant ionic structure. But ionic bond is the electrostatic forces between a metal and a non-metal ions, which is not the case for this, so which one is it? Lol. I'm really random, and weird too.

Enough with the exams and school-stuff. We had our choir practice after school today after a long period of rest. Cool that everyone was excited about it. I didn't knew that the song (J'entends Le Moulin) was so fun and interesting, especially those tiq-taq parts. Haha. It made me so confuse there. There was this once when Ms Ong told us three to 'stay back' during the breaktime. Haha, it happened to be a sort of trivia, err... they give you a question and you reply it. I just don't wish to say the out come of it. Hehe. Received an SMS in-between that. Thanks and thanks.

After school, ate my mum's fried rice. Darn. Too oily. So, decided to go to Mac to eat something more higher quality (and more costly). Got the blue coke cup. Dunno why but kinda fun to collect those stuff. Hey, it's glass and definitly worth it. Even if it mean to spend $7.20 on it.

In the end ate too much fries and got sick of it. xP. Or maybe it's just that I did not eat fast food for a month or so. (The last time was on the SYF day itself. Cool.)

Who knew?

Fin.

Title: {Today}
Today has been a bad day.

I got only 3 As for this exam. Such a failure.
Failed my SS. Now what?
My humanities suck to the core, man. Maybe my friend is right, I will never beat her. I should just drop out of triple science. She'll be more happier.

Okay, back to the exam thing. Today my class checked through the scripts for the A maths, E Maths, Biology, Physics and English. (And why did they had to put English last to dampen my spirits?)
Average, I think it is well done la.

(I'm only counting in the score for the paper only)
A Maths: 173.5/180
E Maths: 163/180
Biology: 51/80   Not meant to sadden anyone here...
Physics: 66/80
English: 68/108 (As usual)

My target is to get 6 A1s. I'm tired of getting 5 everytime. It seemed that it might be impossible. Sigh...

Tomorrow we'll be going through SS (I hate it), Geography Elective, Mother tongue and Chemistry. Sigh... With only two days to check the scripts, if you realised that if they had a major counting error, then that's it.

Title: {Late night blogging. Zzz zzz...}
Shh!!! Keep Quiet!!!

I'm using my laptop in the middle of the night here, and if my mum finds out that, I'm doomed. So, SHH!!

TomorrowToday is the day to check the results, can't believe I just taken all the exams already. It's like... whoosh! And everything's over. What the heck.
Whoa, now I can't sleep already, sigh... Too much adrenalin in my body, I supposed. Just 7 more hours to go...

I got to say, this SA1 exam is a little easier than I thought it would be, except for that two subject: English and SS. (I hate SS essays.)

English Paper 1 was okay, until after the exam when I realised that I went OUT OF TOPIC for the compo. Dang. Paper 2, as usual, did not produce miracles.
As for SS, I have nothing to say.

I don't know why, but I felt confident that I can scoore an A1 for E maths and A maths. And I'm not being arrogant or something. In my opinion, I felt the paper is easy and felt like a full mark is  just a stone's throw away. Until that certain someone sometimes come and destroyed my mood. I shall not mention the name as I had did the same thing back, sometimes.

I think I might get a B3 for my chinese, that'll be my second time in my secondary school to get a B3 for chinese. Screw those language subject.

Physics and Chemistry were both okay, full stop. (Actually I had forgotten most of the questions already, sigh. My memory...)

Well, got to go now, must sleep well, you know. I'll continue later today. Good night!

Don't worry, there is no secret here.

Seriously, there is nothing here.

Persistant fellow...

Crazy fellow. *Acting like Mr Fong*
Okay...

Rachel: Yeah, thanks.
bernice: okay... it's been a while since you tagged by the way.
Nicole: Okay fine, misunderstanding, huh. Lol (but not so hard).
Reno: "Dang, tomorrow got school. I can't believe that the Tuesday break (for the sec 3s) holiday just gone like the wind..."
agNES: Fine, edited and changed.
agNES, again: *Looked at q27 and tried to bear the laughter*. Hey! A13 (to make it sound wrong) is one of those questions that asks for the obvious. This question do not need a reply, nor a signature (if you know what I mean, if not, then treat as if nothing has happened.)
weishian: the dots represent how long I took to answer it, and you know my memory isn't that good, right? And stop thing too much.
TJ: Did I? Have I? Where? *sighing* Stupid memories.

Title: {Quizzes before exams.}
Heh, It's been a while since  I blogged. Lol. Things have been okay for me these few days, but the world is in such a chaos. Lol, again.

Tomorrow the Sec 3s and maybe the Sec 4s are having their MT Paper 2 and EL Paper 1. And here I am, blogging, writing what I'm feeling right now and other random stuff. Like "how well do other people know about me." Hey I'm random. Okay, fine, I'm weird too. See la, I'm so random.

Nicole told me that we might have to study another chapter for Geography: Rainforest. How am I suppose to study that within 1 day? If that chapter came up, I'm gonna murder that Ms Cheng, who only taught us Rivers and Coast, and Rivers and Coast ONLY. Argh, typing this makes me feel nervous as well. Crap.

Another random thing to post: Mas Selamat has been caught! Okay fine, I don't care about this outlaw, I just want to know how he managed to escape from Singapore (Refer to Xavier's blog). Like wth.

Factors why Mas Selamat's escape almost impossible:
1) A very long distance from Singapore to Malaysia.
2) How the hell did he make his own floating objects to get across? Maybe it's possible, but...
3) He would have been caught by the police patrolling the coast. But, no.
4) How did he survived in the wild/in the urban areas without getting caught?

Title: {Flu season came too early...}
Here's one (lame) joke made by my friend during class some days ago...

"When a person gets Swine Flu they sneeze like pigs."

Yeah, imagine a person can do that...
First they get this itching feeling in the nose, then suddenly they snorted before giving a finale. Eww. Especially the snorting part.

After looking at some of the blogs I realise that many people are getting flu nowadays. Cool, Is swine flu in Singapore already, well, hope not.

By the way, I feel kinda sick nowadays. Must stay strong. Persevere. Eat more food containing Vitamin C.

Best of luck for your Mid-years! And whatever you do, stay alive. (Act like Kenji from 20th Century Boys)

Here's a few notes:
1) I am not anti-social. I just want to have some time by myself, marvelling at nature.
2) When I said "No", I mean it. Thanks to LZH and his lecture. Yeap, maybe I should be even more decisive in the future.
3) I am useless at everything else except studies.
