Title: {The Short Short Story of Why and The Reason I Never Enter The Sungei Buloh Nature Reserve Before.}
This is what I would have written if I brought a Laptop along and started a blog.
Primary 5:
:: At school::
We were so excited!!! I finally get a chance to enter the
SBNR (
Sungei Buloh Nature Reserve) and this time, it was my whole class going there!!! The clouds seems
ominous though, but who cares, WE'RE HERE TO HAVE FUN!
:: Half an hour later... ::
Oh darn, the cloud seems to get worse. Only can pray that the rain clouds would shift away the area. Maybe I should sing "Rain, rain, go away..."
:: Half an hour later... ::
Shoot. It rained.
:: Three minutes later... ::
We were asked to leave the
SBNR. But I feel like going the tour in the rain, it would be FUN. But then my teacher said, "Would you rather to have fun and risk of losing your life, or would you rather to get bored but stay safe?" It makes perfect sense, though. Walking under a mangrove forest with a few thousand trees around you. Zap one of them, and let it burn, and weaken the trunk, and let it fall, and cause a domino effect and risk of getting crushed by it. I surrender. Let's go back to school and die of boredom instead.
:: Ten minutes later, on the bus, along
Seletar Expressway ::
Sunshine can be seen from both of the window panes on both side of the bus. You can hear my classmates ask to go back again, but it's a point of no return. Teacher say another day. And I know that day will never come...
Secondary 1:
:: At school ::
Again, I am going to
SBNR. I'm still remember that day a few years ago as if it's like a few days ago. I can't believe it rained that day. Today, I'm going to make up for it -- the promise which the teacher had made when I was in Primary 5. (Even though it is a different teacher) Again, let me hope that it won't rain. Today.
:: Half an hour later... ::
So far so good, no black cloud, no grey clouds... Oh wait, but is that a raincloud, several kilometres away?
:: Half an hour later... ::
Reached
SBNR. Can't see the rainclouds. Good. Finally, finally I get to enter the
SBNR (not
gallay area, the mangrove swamp.) However, we will have to watch a small movie on what, what...
erm... why protect the swamp, is it?
:: Twenty minutes later, watching the movie... ::
Oh, it's about why should we protect mangrove forest. It's about a family who has a mangrove forest and the evil government wants to clear it to make way for sky-rise buildings. Then the 2
children of the family went to the swamp to bid farewell. Then a forest appeared. A living forest. An imaginative forest creature. An monkey-like forest creature. Then the trio go and ... ... ... ... ...
:: A split second later... ::
Zzzzzzzzzzzzz........
:: Lost track of time. Probably five minutes later ::
Finally the movie was over. What was it all about?
Erm, I think is Why should we clear the swamps. Anyway Let's go for the walk!!!
:: Sixty seconds later... ::
Shoot. It rained.
:: History::
It repeats itself. Rain in Primary 5, and now Secondary 1. What the... I surrender. Let's go back to school and die of boredom instead.
:: Ten minutes later, on the bus, along
Seletar Expressway ::
It's shining again and boos and hisses and jeers can be heard in the bus. Teacher say another day. And I know that day will never come... EVER.
The moral of both
stories:
1)Never to go to
SBNR again. It WILL rain.
2) Never to make up a broken promise.
3) History Repeats Itself.
4) Do not watch stupid movies. You'll waste time and time equals money.
